Surprise!!! WTKA's poll question is....
Will Michigan beat Iowa?
Yes
No
I answered 'no', but M fans being M fans, it is currently 56% yes, 44% no. I hope they're right and I'm wrong.

WTKA Poll Question
Like a lot of WTKA Poll Questions, this one is more prediction than opinion.
What is going to happen on Saturday?
a) Michigan beats Indiana by 21+ points
b) Michigan beats Indiana by 10-20 points
c) Michigan beats Indiana by 1-9 points
d) Indiana upsets Michigan
Not surprisingly, M fans are extremely confident after going 4-0. +21 got 41%, and 10-20 got 39%. Unless everyone that voted c thinks M is going to win by 8 or less, more than 80% of voters think M is going to win by more than a TD. That stat concerns me almost as much as the total yards allowed by the M defense. (not really)

WTKA Poll Question
After a 3-0 start, Michigan will win __ games.
a) 3-5
b) 6
c) 7-8
d) 9-12
Not surprisingly, 7-8 is winning with 68% of the vote. Until after the Indiana game, I'm sticking with my 6-6 prediction.

WDFN Poll Question
From 080410, in the evening:
Will Denard Robinson lead Michigan to a bowl game this year?
-Yes, he leads Michigan back to a bowl
-Not sure, let's see how he does @ Notre Dame
-Not sure, let's see how he does in the Big Ten
-No, he won't hold up against the Big Ten
The answer choices are basically one yes, one no and two maybes.
I'm sticking with M going 6-6. If Drob doesn't get hurt, then he will lead them.

WTKA Poll Question
Do the allegations against Michigan concern you?
Yes
No
My Answer: Of course. Based on the little that I've heard, the findings probably won't result in anything major, but even the minor things (reduction in scholarships?) hinders the program from returning to where it should be. In addition, even if there are no penalties, it is clear we have a coach and staff that care less about following the rules than I am comfortable. How can you not be concerned that something else will happen with this guy in charge? If your answer is because the University and the Athletic Department will be watching so closely that it would be impossible for him to do anything illegal (to the NCAA), then you are answering exactly like I am. You are concerned about RR's ability to run a program within the rules without constant oversight. I understand that there are people in the AD that are supposed to be doing that and probably messed up, too, but it shouldn't be a department, er university-wide project to keep the football team compliant. Compliance needs to start at the bottom with a little oversight to make sure up the ranks. RR has turned that system over.
The results on the WTKA website are:
Yes 36%
No 64%
I haven't listened much since this came out, so I have no idea who is saying what on there, but there are way too many homers on the air there, and too many listeners who are influenced by the homer announcers.

WTKA listener poll question
Who will win the Super Bowl?
I hate the ones where you are asked to predict, rather than give your opinion. So....
In my opinion, the Colts will win.

Another S and S Poll question
What word best describes the quality of play in the Big Ten?
Parity
Crap
I am not going to answer that one because it is obviously Sharp's way to promote his anti-Big Ten-ism which is somewhat justified, but also overblown. My only comment is that a couple weeks ago he mentioned that the Big Ten is overrated. I think he believes, or wants to believe, that there are people who think the Big Ten is one of the best 2 or 3 conferences. Only an idiot would believe it. I think the Big Ten is probably a below the SEC, Big 12 and Pac 10 right now. They are probably slightly ahead of or maybe even with the ACC/Big East (they will always be the same thing to me). In other words, the Big Ten is a below average major conference. A couple good bowl years would change that perception.
As far as the question itself (no, I'm not going to answer it), I don't think the two possible answers are even related. Parity means the teams are at the same level AS EACH OTHER and Crap implies the league is worse than OTHER LEAGUES.
As far as Sharp and his general negativity about most things M and Big Ten, I've come to realize that his opinions are made to create controversy, make people hate him, etc. Generally, he is the sportwriter that cares about one thing....Championships. If M wins a MNC or a team in the Big Ten wins a MNC, then his opinion would change. He cares about nothing else. He all but said the Wings had a bad season last year. He said the M-MSU game meant nothing this season. etc etc. He only cares about winning it all. It is a horrible way to look at things when you are a sports writer. And it is a horrible way to keep emotional fans (like all of us) interested. If M goes 7-5 this year, anyone who says it was an unsuccessful season will not have much credibility, because I know better.

Shep and Sharp's Poll Question 102209
Who has a better chance at winning Saturday?
Michigan
Michigan State
I think that is a great question. I think M has a better chance at keeping the game close. I think the likely goes something like this...
PSU beats M in a close one
IA beats MSU (close or even a blowout)
MSU beats IA in a close one
M beats PSU in a close one
As you can see, I think the M-PSU game is going to be close. I think MSU could get blown out, or could win or lose in a close one. Really, I guess that means I have no idea about either game.

Shep and Sharp's Poll Question
Now, I won't be doing every poll question on every station, but only the ones I see and have any interest in. College football poll questions for sure, other M stuff and maybe the occasional other sport. I'm assuming there will be a non-sport question and, if I care about it, I will mention it.
Today, S and S have the question
Who Will Win the Big Ten?
1) Iowa
2) MSU
3) OSU
4) PSU
5) M
I think Iowa will go all the way to the OSU game without a loss and will probably lose at OSU. That will give OSU the head-to-head. Then, the only other Q will be whether Wis loses to someone on the way. Though I think Wis is probably better than everyone left on the schedule, they will lose (hopefully to M). That will give OSU the head-to-head tiebreaker and the trip to the Rose Bowl.

Poll Question
I've decided to add this new feature to the blog. No, I'm not going to make up poll questions for all of the readers to vote on. I'm just going to make comments on various radio stations' poll questions.
The first one is a doozy from WTKA.
Who is going to win the game?
a) Penn State
b) Michigan
Unfortunately, I have not yet made my official prediction, so I won't answer at this time. I will say this, however. M will need to play better than they did against Iowa if they expect to win. I know Iowa was on the road, PSU at home, etc. blah blah. Iowa probably looks at that game as one of their worst.
That's all I got.
