Pitt - Penn State for the Trophy

Pitt won their opener easily last week 33-7 over Albany. That means they carry the jiMpossible-sarcasMike Trophy into week 2 against "arch-rival" Penn State.

The two teams have met once before for the trophy with Penn State maintaining possession 34-14 in 1986.

This is a big opportunity for the trophy to come back to the B1G for the first time since Ohio State lost to Florida in the BCS championship game at the end of the 2007-2008 season.

The 2018 M- Notre Dame game has little to do with the games played in 1982, 1988, 1990, 2012 and 2014.
One thing they do have in common is darkness in South Bend. The game is tomorrow NIGHT and M has not won a night game in South Bend.

Outback Bowl Prediction based on family near the Outback

My wife and I followed M to the Orange Bowl last season was joined by my sister and her husband

Unfortunately we weren't able to cheer M onto victory. Even with my dad there in spirit.

For various reasons we're not headed to Tampa to see M in the Outback Bowl. But my sister did travel to Australia this year - if not the Outback, per se...

 I trust that will lead to better success for M this bowl season.
