It is so funny that you mentioned that. I just heard someone say almost exactly what you are disputing. Sports talk radio is filled with simple people. They have no nuance and they often miss the point. The guy on 1130 (at about 5pm) just kept criticizing the attorneys for being greedy and "how can they sleep at night?", and then finally Stallworth's family (for taking money). I don't think the whole idea of what the Justice system is for even comes into the minds of these people.

If anything, I think everybody should get 30 days in jail for drunk driving, regardless if anyone is injured because of it. But, that is another issue and is totally off point of your post and my above post. If only sports-talk radio could recognize that, too.
